Everything was going so, so well. Job is great. Hours are changing from evenings to mornings. Finally picked up dry cleaning after a month of lazily lurching by little place on way to work. Labor Day bbq- HUGE success! Met someone new and interesting. Very fun events planned for the month ahead.

So of course it makes sense for me yesterday to wake up possibly blind in the right eye. I have never been in so much pain. I have NO idea how it happened and NO idea how I made it in to work - even with sunglasses my eye cannot be exposed to the sun. I am literally a vampire. Of course these are the most beautiful cloud-free days in Chicago this year.

I spent a good portion of yesterday dying/in the ER. And today I somehow bumbled back to the hospital for another appointment. This medicine is so convenient - I have to take pain meds 4x a day, 1 drop of something every 4 hours, and 1 drop of this other thing every hour while I’m awake. And I can’t sleep more than 6 hours.

Hooray.
